I was so excited when Lisa asked me if we could do some of their engagements at Snowbasin because they love going snowboarding together. I hadn’t been skiing for a couple of years, so I was a little worried about how I would do while I was shooting-but it was like riding a bike!
We headed up the bunny hill to get a few shots on the lift.
When we got to the top there was this amazing view and such gorgeous clouds all day long!
I haven’t snowplowed in many years so doing it most of the way down to get these shots made me feel some muscles that I hadn’t before! It was totally worth it to capture this fun!
Seriously these clouds! I was dying!
We headed up the gondola to the lodge where they will get married. It was a little tight in there with five people, but we got some fun shots!
Mike had the idea to sled down the hill a bit and it was a little harder than it looked!
I wanted to get the top of the mountain view that is right across from the lodge they will be married in. Had a little fun with the run names 😀
Mike’s sister and her husband (former bride and groom of mine-Steph & Justin) came along and I was so thankful they did! Justin carried my bag the whole time and sometimes my poles too! He also helped Lisa up the hill when she went down too far.
And thanks to Justin pulling her up the hill we got this shot just below where they will be married!
That view. We were on top of the world!!!
Lisa is such a great sport! She let us do this to her twice.
Then we got some side by side jumps in!
After we were done on the slopes, we headed down the canyon and met Lisa’s mom with their fur babies.
Had some fun in the quakies (is that what you call them?) So I think most people call them aspens but my dad always called them quakies. I’ve only heard a few people call them that and I always have to catch myself and say aspens instead ;D
Can we all just pause and just look at how gorgeous Lisa is?!?! She is also super smart and sweet so Mike picked himself a wonderful girl!
Check out Lisa’s custom engagement ring!
The sun had went down but we snuck in a few more shots in their cozy clothes.
It is couples like this that make me so grateful for the job that I have and the people I am able to meet because of it.
