When I got to Kaila’s house she was watching Phineas and Ferb and it was a Star Wars episode. Her kitties came over to watch it with her.
I love all of her expressions she makes when she watched her favorite show. When she was thinking about what they were doing she would give the screen a side eye. It was so cute!
The joy in this one below. Just melts my heart.
We got out her marbles and she counts them 7 in one hand and 7 in the other. She does it SO quick too!
7 is her number-lucky girl 😀
This is Taz. This cat y’all! I can’t with the cuteness!
Kaila loves to skip everywhere she goes. I think this is a really great idea.
When she isn’t watching her favorite show, she loves to jump and jump and jump!
She threw in some good snuggles for her mom which she said doesn’t happen often, so I made sure we let that go as long as we could!
We headed downstairs to jump on her little trampoline and play on her slide. She loves to move and has so much energy!
Daddy came down to get in on the action. Clearly you can tell she adores him too!
They pulled out the bubbles and she was pretty excited about them-and so was Taz!
She loved it when the bubbles would pop on her face.
This one below is probably one of my favorites. So much joy! My favorite thing about these sessions is just capturing these kids pure joy!
Although Kaila is non-verbal, she has figured out other ways to communicate and I think we all should try to see the world from her eyes-how frustrating it must be when others don’t understand you. I really think that a lot of melt downs are due to frustrations with communication. Isn’t that a great life lesson though? We should really spend more time on effective communication through different methods. There would be a lot less melt downs and stresses in the world with better communication.
This cat. Oh my gosh. There is one in the background too that I didn’t even see until I almost left, but this one just sat like this on the chair and totally cracked me up!
Out of their 4 cats, Taz just loves Kaila. He is also the only one that she likes too. He went past her and brushed his tail against her face and it just made her smile!
Taz wanted to play too.
I mean-that profile!!!
Her parents didn’t know that I could see them in the mirror as they watched her. They just loved watching everything she was doing and told her just how cute she was all the time. We all need those reminders in our lives!
She loved to look at herself moving in the fridge.
More play time with mama! Mom for sure got her work out today and Kaila was pretty happy about it!
I just love seeing the world of these kids in their homes. They all teach me so much each time I go!
