My favorite lens-Canon 70-200 f2.8L II

Today I’m going to tell you about my favorite lens of all time.  It is the Canon 70-200 f2.8L II with image stabilization, pictured below-isn’t she pretty?!!?

This lens I probably use 80% of the time and I love it.  I love it for portraits, for candid shots at weddings, I love that I can shoot a full length and a head and shoulder shot it 2 seconds flat.  I love the dreamy and creamy blur it creates in the backgrounds.  I just love it!  The only draw back of this lens, at least for me, is it is pretty heavy; but who doesn’t want buff biceps, right?!  I don’t really notice the weight until about the 3rd hour of shooting usually-so I must have built up my muscles for it.  It’s like carrying around a baby, which is the name I use for it, “my baby”.   I had the first version and loved it too.  In fact, I am probably going to sell it soon if anyone is interested 😀  If you want a brand new one, head on over to Pictureline and pick one up.  That’s the only place I will buy my camera equipment.  Here is a shot I took with the Canon 70-200 on Saturday.

Now head on over to my friend Tara’s blog to see what is new at Winsor Photography!
