Amanda + Ben {wedding}

I am super behind on posting on my blog all that I’ve been doing all month. Here was my first wedding from the month. Amanda and Ben wanted a Tiffany’s style wedding with lots of white, Tiffany blue, pearls and plenty of bling. It turned out gorgeous! They and their family made most of the decor and it was so pretty.  We also did a pre-shoot at the temple which is THE BEST THING you can do if you are getting married in the temple.  Better lighting in the evening, relaxed shoot, less people at the temple, less stress on your wedding day….I pretty much love them if you can tell!  Amanda and Ben were so happy when they excited the Salt Lake Temple.

Amanda’s bridal gown was so gorgeous on her and fit her perfectly.  She got it from Gown’s by Pamela.  Her make-up and hair was by Lexi Sorenson of Dynamix.  Don’t you love the bridesmaid dresses?  They got them at Shabby Apple, one of my favorite sites for dresses/clothes.  Check out the cutest little boy ever below in the shades!  He cracked me up!  The Tuxes were all by H&M and ties were by Tie One On.

Amanda included a picture of her late grandfather in a small frame on her bouquet.  I loved that she carried him with her on her wedding day.  They made a “family tree” with pictures of their family on their wedding day.   I love when couples include their family in their day, especially since their parents have been thinking about this day longer than they have for sure!  😀

Their reception was in the Empire Room of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.  The catering and linens were also provided by the JSM Building.   The chandeliers and ornate ceilings really helped give it that classic style and elegance that Tiffany’s offers. I loved their Tiffany’s themed candy bar that they created themselves.   Their friend Davis Hansen played the grand piano for their guests during the reception.

The elegant cake was made by Granite Bakery, the same place that did my wedding cake almost twelve years ago!   Amanda and Ben were really nice to each other when feeding each other the cake.   There was quite a struggle for the bouquet.  I always feel bad for the cute little girls in the front because they want it so bad and almost never get it.

I had such an amazing day with this family.  They are all so sweet and kind and I am so glad they found me!   I actually had taught one of Amanda’s bridesmaids my first year teaching sixth grade.  I was telling her I was barely 22 when I started teaching and she is almost that old now.  Man I am getting old-good thing I have a job I love that keeps me young!  Amanda and Ben are off to San Francisco to live and I know they will love it there.  I am so jealous they are in Hawaii for their honeymoon!!!  One day I will get there!!!
