Ainsley and Jeff’s wedding was so much fun. Seriously, you can just tell from the pictures how much fun their family and friends had! I loved her gorgeous flowers! They had a variety of colors and all of them were different! She had such a glamorous and classically beautiful wedding at the Oakridge Country Club.
From Ainsley:
My dress is from David’s Bridal. I went to another dress shop first with my whole bridal party and mom and sis and tried on dresses and didn’t love any of them! Then a couple weeks later my maid of honor (who just had surgery on her mouth and could barely talk) went to Davids Bridal on a whim and I fell in love with this dress! I was going for an ‘old Hollywood’ look and this dress made me feel like a star! We also got the headpiece from David’s.
One of my favorite parts of the wedding reception was having the Smile Now Photobooth instead of a traditional guest sign in book you’ll never read again! To add a special touch to it my mom baked about 300 little chocolate chip cookies as a remembrance for my grandma who passed away a couple years ago. She always liked to send people home with a baggie of cookies so we sent people home with their picture, some taffy and some cookies. We had a picture of her and a note in a frame explaining the meaning behind the cookies.
My mom also made our center pieces (pictures of Jeff and I we had taken months ago in a photobooth) and she found a way to make old thrift store vases look like vintage mercury glass! They turned out absolutely amazing! She’s a talented little lady! And she looked stunning as well…..her dress was from Nordstrom.
All the guys got their tuxes from Men’s Warehouse and the ladies dresses were from David’s bridal. The flower girl dresses were from a website called thepreciousgirl.com…..I was a little nervous about ordering from a kind of random website but they were the sweetest little dresses! The little girls looked great even though only one actually made it down the isle (with my sister). The ladies jewelry was fun and funky from Forever 21 and their shoes were from Forever Young. My shoes were on clearance from DSW…..they were a great find and matched my dress perfectly!
The flowers came from a florist in Bountiful called Willow & Wildflowers. They did such an amazing job with the colors and the little direction I gave them! I picked a vintage blue color, salmon, cream, gold and a little darker pink (almost a raspberry color) just because I thought it would look so great with the vintage theme I was going for. Another special touch added to the flowers (my mom’s idea) was to use my great grandmothers blue flower brooch on my bouquet. This way I had something old….borrowed….and blue all in one! They also brought real flowers for my cake which was made by one of my best friends who just finished culinary arts school…..thanks Chef Heather Leicthy (She also made the amazing chocolate bon bons)!!
My makeup was done my Hannah Goodrich.…she is amazing and will travel TO YOU to do your makeup for events. She also did my makeup for engagement pictures, bridals and she did one of my bridesmaids and some eyelashes on my mom.
My hair was done by Amy Afuvai at Lucid Ends Salon….I’ve been going to her for years, she is amazing…..I can’t remember ever getting a bad cut or style from her!
My wonderful minister, Karen Winkel came all the way from Colorado to officiate at our wedding. She preformed an amazing ceremony….I had so many people come up to me and tell me how beautiful it was!
I’m sure I could go on and on (I won’t) but I will say this, at the end of the day I am now happily married to a WONDERFUL man, I had the wedding of my dreams and the best family and friends to help us with every last detail……..and now the best part is I will soon have the MOST BEAUTIFUL PICTURES to remember our special day!!! Terra is such an amazing artist……and so fun to work with!!!
