Niki + Daniel {wedding}

I don’t really have words really to express how much I just love Niki 😀  She is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet.   Plus, we found out that we are actually related!!   I was so grateful to spend this day with her and her family & friends.  I love her short dress and hot pink heels.  At her reception she bought different vintage vases for each table that were just gorgeous.   They also had a super cute candy table that Niki had made a cute sign that said “Love is Sweet” to add to the sweetness of the table.  I hope you both have an amazing time in the Caribbean-so jealous!

Check out their wedding video from Pointe Digital.  Great job Davey!

From the bride, Niki:

My dress was from David’s Bridal. It was strapless and so I had their seamstress make a jacket that had a ruffle collar, it snapped to my dress so it would stay in place. I wanted something fun and cute for summer.

Daniel’s suit and shoes were rented from Jims Formal Wear. Special thanks to them for picking me as their deserving bride so we got Daniel’s whole outfit for free.

My flowers were from the Flower Patch. The ones for the centerpieces, cake and walk-in decorations were by the bunch and my friends and family arranged them for the reception. The bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres were from their also.

I got my pink shoes from Charlotte Russe, which went perfect with my dress because they had a little ruffle on top like the ruffle on my jacket.

The bridesmaids wore black dresses from Downeast and pearl necklaces from Nordstrom Rack.

My brothers wore black suits and then I got their ties at Tie One.

The guestbook was created by the one and only Terra Cooper…which is the cutest thing ever!

The beautiful and awesome cake was from Leslie’s French Pastries (in Holladay) as well as the delicious éclairs.

The wonderful food was from Meier’s Catering and my aunts made a fruit dessert drink.

The location was in my uncle’s backyard (Meier Residence) in SLC. My aunt did a lot of yard work months before the wedding and also had a sidewalk and patio area put in.

The decorations: I made some of the decorations with foam, fabric, ribbon and flowers. I had some older furniture (and some of the furniture was purchased at the DI) that we used for the sign-in table and we used a baker’s rack to display some pictures and block letters (from Hobby Lobby). For the center pieces I bought my vases at Hobby Lobby, the necklaces from Wet Seal and the doily’s from Dollar Tree. The tablecloths, chairs and tables were from Diamond Rental. I borrowed the shepherd hooks from a family friend and the cake Gazebo from my aunt.

The candy buffet table was created by my stepmom and step sisters. They stuck with pink and white candy since my colors were pink. My stepmom had the vases so we didn’t need to purchase any. I made the LOVE IS SWEET sign. I just got paper, foam, block letters, wood circles and rectangle for the base from Hobby Lobby and then painted, glued and put together. I used the same paper and wood circles for the vases to sit on. My stepmom made the candy labels with the same paper and some ribbon. I bought the balloons online (Party City) and had them filled at Zurchers.

The amazing and fun band was The Ken Foster Trio (kenfoster.com).

My hair and make-up were done by the lovely and wonderful Hannah Goodrich…She made me look and feel like a princess

Our awesome videographer was Davey Orgil from Pointe Digital.

For when we left the reception, I wanted something fun for everyone. We had ribbon wands (I got them online through Party City) and then the blow horns from Zurchers.

Our top 3 priorities for our wedding were:

1- Great photographer and videographer…they capture all the memories and moments that we will have for forever and since the day goes so fast we didn’t want to miss a thing. We had the BEST photographer and videographer.

2- The band- Ken Foster Trio…I had seen them at weddings before and they made our wedding SO much fun…When we planned our wedding day the first thing we did was call and book them Well, we called the Salt Lake Temple first because that was actually at the top of the priority list and then called the band.

3- The cake, food, candy buffet table and decorations were all on the list of priorities and as you can see I had so many wonderful family members and friends that helped out with all of these things.

Everything was absolutely PERFECT! We had the perfect day and it truly was my dream wedding. I am so grateful for ALL the many wonderful family members, friends and wedding vendors who helped make this day happen. It truly was the absolute perfect day. Thanks to everyone! I can’t say this enough…THANK YOU TO EVERYONE, EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING AND PERFECT! Also, I am sooooooo grateful to the best photographer ever and for picking me to be her deserving bride. She went above and beyond and truly was the BEST photographer ever!!!!!!

About us: Daniel and I met at a friend’s house in September 2009. We instantly became each other’s “go to” friend and would talk every night about each other’s dating life. It wasn’t until May of 2010 that we went on a trip to San Francisco to visit one of his friends that he fell for me but I had already had a crush on him back in September when we had first met. We started dating, fell in love and he proposed in December 2010. We LOVE to travel, go to big cities, go to concerts (love music), go to major league baseball games, watch football/basketball, go to Park City, love to eat at fun/different restaurants, love frozen yogurt, love shopping (well I do, he is always just along for the ride, actually he likes to shop as well:), love taking walks, likes fishing (he does, I am just along for the ride:), love to go to plays (Wicked, Phantom, etc), go to rodeos, love eating fortune cookies and finding out our fortune, love summer nights when we can lay on a blanket and look at the stars, love picnics (drinking sparkling cider in fun cups), and just love being together… He is the man of my dreams and we are so in love.
