Sentimental Sunday | That time that….

Weddings are full of sentimental moments and memories.  I love looking back at pictures because I’m able to remember those special moments that would otherwise be most likely forgotten.  Today I wanted to look back and share a few of my favorite moments from weddings in the last year-some funny, some that made me cry, some that taught me something, some that were a full circle moment.  Sometimes I just have to pinch myself.  This is what I get to do-this is what I get to document-moments like this are what makes my job so rewarding.

So now I look back and remember…..

That time when…I looked down and saw a little girl that was all grown up looking at her best friend.


That time when…everyone was so touched by the couples vows, even their dog couldn’t take his eyes off of them!


That time when…you may have took smashing the cake too far and…


…your brother came to your rescue and saved your new wife!


That time when…you look at a couple that thought of others and was grateful for the little things in moments when it was all about them.


That time when…you see a mom dancing with her son and realize that day will come too soon for you and only hope that you are as good of a mom as she has been to her sons.


That time when…you and the girls ran away from the reception barefoot down a really steep hill to the gardens to get some shots just because it would be fun.


That time when…you see a forever love blossom before your eyes.


That time when…you see that a decision you make could change the rest of your life and that people are brought together for a reason.


That time when…a little boy that stole your heart and changed it eight years ago still has the power to do it all over again.


That time when…your grandfather gets to marry you and it is the best thing ever.


That time when…you see yourself for the first time as a bride about to be married and the little girl inside that has been dreaming of this day, realizes her fairy tale has come true.


That time when…your whole world is watching you in the arms of his whole world.


That time when…you realize you are still your daddy’s little girl, but it will be different now.




That time when…you want to make a brother feel part of a wedding he isn’t able to be a part of, so you literally make him part of the wedding.






That time when…it rains on your wedding day, but stops just enough to get some pictures and it makes you want to do a happy dance!


That time when…you realize that you may be his favorite girl, but other girls have stolen his heart.  You are completely fine with that because it just shows you how one day another little girl will have him wrapped around her little finger.


That one time when…you braved freezing temperatures outside because you wanted that shot…and then went inside to find that your camera had fogged up…or was it just creating a mood? ;D


That one time when…you danced Gangnam Style with your brother at your wedding and it was amazing.


That one time…where you took a break from your reception to go bowling.


That one time…where you braved these horrible, creepy spiders because the dock was just too pretty to pass up.


That one time…where you are literally jumping for joy you are so happy to be married to your best friend.

That one time…where you wanted a shot of the city from a mountain top, but instead got smog.  But in life, sometimes you have to look through the haze to see the light.


That time when…you just knew.


That time when…you got to take pictures at the spot where their fairy tale first started-for them and for you.


That time when…you see these siblings that you grew up with and realize how lucky you are to have them in your life.


That time when…you stepped on a snake and the groom picked it up and threw it so they could stand on the spot that it was just slithering and you realize the tough stuff people are made of.


That time when…you see him holding his girl, his world, his everything.


That time when…your girl, your world, reflects the love you have for her in her eyes.


That time when…you see a girl that you knew would do great things in life radiate much deserved happiness holding the hand of the person that gives her even more of it.


That time when…you see her looking into his eyes and know they were always meant to be.
