Advice for Brides

Today I am featuring the fabulous Mara from Events by LMG.   I love when a designer is involved in the wedding process because they focus on details.  I believe the love is in the details and Events by LMG is no exception to that.  LMG is an acronym for “La Mireasa cu Gust” which is Romanian for “The Bride with Great Taste”.   I love that she incorporated her culture/language into her business name.   If you know me, you know I love foreign languages!  I love that we have SO  many talented people in this business right in our area.   I look forward to some amazing weddings this year!

From Mara:

A born hostess, with a love for patterned china and coordinated place settings. I enjoy fresh flowers and never an empty plate at my table. I have an endless love of creating and dreaming. I live to entertain guests and I believe in perfect lighting.

Born in Bucharest, Romania, I grew up in a culture focused on food, entertaining and family. Throughout my entire life dinner parties were a reality, not scenes from movies and TV. It would be impossible to walk into anyone’s home without being offered “a small bite” that more accurately resembled a Thanksgiving spread. My parents would bring out beautiful linens, fancy plates and fragrant flowers in preparation for their guests. Hors d’oeuvres on pretty platters and fancy beverages in shiny crystal glasses mesmerized me from the time I was tall enough to see over the top of the dining room table. No dinner table was complete without perfect supper lighting and strategically placed candles. To this day I love to entertain, and I’m certain there is a perfect placement for each and every item on the table.
Today I am thrilled to spend my days surrounded by parties and celebrations. I am extremely passionate about each and every event I am involved with. I take time to get to know every client, to find out what their visions are and how we can bring them to life. With my wedding clients I enjoy learning what brought them together, and what they want their event to say about them. I focus on unique and personal touches within any event, to make each it’s own.

I love the Christmas themed winter wedding below and how Mara used purple in it instead of traditional colors.  Plus I am a sucker for purple!
