Wedding Giveaway 2014

This year I am doing something a little different.  I want to give back to my brides and try to make their day a little more special.  So having said that I decided that any bride that books with me I will pay for their hair and make up for…

Jayme + Mark {wedding}

Oh how I love this couple!  I just miss my couples so much after their weddings!  You can see for yourself the gorgeousness that this wedding was, but read a little about it from the bride herself. From Jayme:  “When planning our wedding Mark and I both had a goal…

Lauren + Jake {wedding}

Lauren and Jake were the winners of my Deserving Bride Contest I did in January. I am so glad they won! They are such an amazing couple and I love hanging out with them and their family. Jake and Lauren had their reception at This is the Place Park. I loved the pink house that matched Lauren’s colors perfectly that was close by. We did the family shots there and I’m glad they walked down the hill for them for me!! They had a great turnout at their reception and their family knows how to throw a party. Her uncle is has tons of sound equipment, lights, and even brought a fog machine! It was awesome. There was one song that they and their friends were dancing to and I thought it was saying something else. I mentioned it to Lauren and Jake and they started laughing at me and said it was something different…way different! Well I feel old now-thanks kids ;D hehe I’m just glad I could make you laugh!

Alayna {senior pictures}

I was so excited to do this shoot. For one, I love this girl and her family. I shot her sister Kayla’s wedding in October and I seriously feel part of their family now! They all came, which was really awesome to see them all again. I wanted to make it extra special, so I got some amazing friends/wedding vendors to help me out. Sam from Something Vintage Something Blue {who if you don’t know him is one of the NICEST people you will ever meet, really!} brought two of his fabulous vintage cars for us to use as props. They looked perfect with three dresses we borrowed from Betsy at Modest Couture by Elizabeth and fit Alayna perfectly. After we did her “normal” senior pictures in her regular clothes, my bestie Hannah Goodrich did her make up/hair for the vintage dresses and I seriously don’t know what Hannah does to make eyes pop they way she does, but Alayna’s eyes were popping! She looked so gorgeous! It was REALLY cold and poor Alayna was such a trooper through the whole thing, even when I had her step into what I thought was a few inches of snow and she was up to her knees in the snow seconds later! I took a picture right after-it’s the one where she looks like she is knee deep in snow off the side of the road laughing, thankfully 😀 Thanks everyone again for making this such a fun shoot!

Roaring 20’s Inspired Fashion Shoot

This shoot was inspired by this London Double Decker Bus. It came over to the states from England on the last voyage ever of the Queen Mary. When I saw it, I knew I had to do a shoot with it! I have always loved the glamorous style of the 20’s and wanted to do a shoot that showcased that era, but in a modern way. So I partnered with a local dress company, Danielle’s Bridal, and we got two amazing models, Heather and Chloe, and my favorite make-up/hair artist, Hannah and two days later we pulled together this shoot. I was even able to get a blue 1937 Buick Special – series 40, suicide doors: This car is unique in many ways, one of the early designs of the legend Harley Earl, gangster style with the trunk back design. I loved the idea of having the color palette being red, white, blue and black. It seemed so classically American.
