I first saw one of Chris’ films this summer and instantly became a fan. It wasn’t long after that we got to shoot an amazing wedding together, Kylee & Seth’s. Chris is super fun to work with and had creative ideas. He seems to capture pure emotion and feeling just by moving the camera and he always sets it to amazing music as well. His films {and I say films, not videos, because once you see them, you will see why they are films!} are cinematic beauty and I hope you take a minute to watch some of them. Kylee & Seth’s reception turned out to have great weather, a little chilly, but no rain or wind! At the first of the reception I went up in their helicopter and got shots from above (to see those, click here), then after we landed I got to warm up with homemade pizza (that was SUPER delicious) & speciality hot drinks from Marvelous Catering. The other guests also enjoyed homemade ice cream cookie sandwiches, speciality cold & hot drinks, salads and cake. Her linens were gorgeous and so were the flowers. We had a great time dancing to keep us warm too!
It was so WINDY during Kylee & Seth’s luncheon. Luckily it died down for the reception. The linens were blowing everywhere and wouldn’t lie flat for the pictures. It was still super pretty though and the food was delicious. It was catered by Marvelous Catering. They had their father’s give speeches and it was fun to learn more about Kylee and Seth.
Here are a few pictures that I took from a helicopter of Kylee & Seth’s reception. It was a lot colder than last time I went up for her sister’s wedding. When we would turn into the wind (we took the door off) the air would take my breath away, or whenever I leaned out to get a shot, same thing. It was super fun though and a very smooth ride. The videographer, Chris McClain also attached a camera to the nose of the helicopter, so I am super excited to see that footage!
What a gorgeous day and a gorgeous couple. I had a great time with Chris McClain as their videographer, and Seth’s mom even commented on how well we worked together. I loved Kylee’s unique dress from Alta Moda Bridal and her colors combination in her flowers was so unique as well. Luncheon/Reception picts up soon. Even some shots from a helicopter!
