I really love my clients. I know I always say this, but it is true 😀 I shot Alayna’s sister Kayla’s wedding just over a year ago in California and pretty much adopted their family-or they adopted me! I am so excited to go to Arizona for Alayna and Josh’s wedding this summer because I don’t think I have been warm for over a month now.
Josh is actually Bryan’s best friend (Kayla’s husband). We have loved watching these two fall in love over the past year. At Kayla and Bryan’s wedding we saw some sparks and were all wishing that they would see it too-and they did! Josh is a commercial pilot and wanted to have some pictures that had some pretty sweet airplanes in them.
Well in Utah we just happen to have quite a few airplanes always around, so that part was easy. Now the 5 degree temperature outside was another story. We shot some of the pictures inside first to keep warm and met some really nice vetrans that were so excited to tell us all about the planes they loved and worked on/flew.
Then we headed outside into the snow and freezing temperatures and had a really great time laughing at all of us as we found out how deep the snow really was as it went up to our knees and down into our socks. I took some in front of the B1 bomber, which is the plane that one of my best friend’s husband flies for the Air Force. It really does look pretty sweet in pictures.
I love that Josh brought his aviator sunglasses and told him to keep them on in some of the pictures. He had no problem with that because the bright sun reflecting off the snow was making us all a little teary eyed!
Alayna wore a really stylish red coat that Josh had actually picked out for her. The reds and blues that they wore added that subtle patriotic touch that looked great with the planes. And check out Alayna’s ring! Josh actually designed it and it was inspired by a Lotus blosson. I was able to miraculously get it to hang on an icicle and was really glad it didn’t fall off and get lost in the snow.
We ended by getting a picture of Josh’s glasses looking at Alayna and there was also an airplane in the reflection. He loved that picture because he said it has his two favorite things in it! So cute. I love watching them and how in love they are. One thing I love is I get to see young, happy love all of the time and it really makes me happy too 😀
Tara,
I’m not sure I have ever thanked you for the beautiful work you have done with my daughters and family. You are an amazing and gifted photographer (I’m sure it helps that our daughters are beautiful already 😉
These are great, thank you!
