It was POURING rain and snow all day the day we took these pictures. It actually rained until just twenty minutes before we got to the Salt Flats. We were praying it would stop and we got our wish-SUPER SUNNY (not warm) but REALLY sunny. I wore my rain boots just in case, so I was super styling out there ;D Jake and Lauren are really easy to photograph, so that made it fun. Lauren’s brother Ryan from Paper Rock Pictures came a long too and shot an amazing film for them (watch it below). So worth the drive for sure!!! Her dress is from the Bride’s Shop; Make-Up by Lauren’s best friend Teresa Uipi. Hair by Moore Design-these girls came out with us to put Lauren’s hair up so she could have two looks. Jake’s suit was custom made.
I love first looks! When couples get married in the temple I never get to photograph this part, so I am so happy this is becoming such a popular thing. I loved the color of Lauren’ scarf that we used as a blindfold so much I made her put it on for one picture and I love her in pink!!
I love the pink lining of Jake’s suit. Gray and pink just belong together!!!
Her shoes are FABULOUS!!! And just look at that ring. GORGEOUS!!
Ryan’s got some mad reflecting skills!! It was so sunny and poor Lauren eyes are super sensitive from having Lasik that we had to shade her as much as we could. Makes for better lighting though!!
The last thing Jake wanted to do was drive his SUV across the Salt Flats really fast. They said it was pretty bumpy out there, but they had fun! Here is the amazing film by Ryan Winterton of Paper Rock Pictures. He got me on my phone on the way there…..my teenage nickname from my friends, “Phone Girl” is still pretty accurate! He also got me looking super cute with my rainboots and windblown hair. Good thing Lauren and Jake are so good looking you don’t even notice me!
