This year for my bridal shows I wanted to show new brides some of my engagement pictures, but I wanted to do it in a different format than just picking favorite shots and putting them in an album. Zach called me two days before their engagements to tell me he wanted to give Dani her ring during the session. Little did I know he had been teasing her all week with proposal type situations (I love you puzzle in cupcakes, dinner at a fancy restaurant, and flowers being sent to her work repeatedly) . So during the session I told him our code word would be I would bring up football somehow. So I did, posed them where he was squatting down by her and then he turned to her and proposed. It was so cute. She was REALLY happy-then she hit him for taking so long. It was really funny. Then we went onto take more pictures and found some cool new spots on accident too.
I love that in Utah you can get so many different looks for pictures in a small area. While out on the dock taking pictures, the owner of one of the sailboats asked us if we wanted a few shots on his boat. Um, yes we would 😀 Justin is actually from Connecticut and the sailboat made the shoot have a more Connecticut feel to it, which was awesome. I used to teach with Steph’s mom and actually taught her two younger sisters. It was so fun getting to know her better. They brought their two cute puppies, Molly and Max, who were just adorable. Justin is a huge New York Giants fan and has converted Steph to being a huge fan too, so we did a few football playing pictures too. I loved their outfits they put together-I kept telling Steph I was going to have to steal some of them-oh and check out her ring. GORGEOUS! I don’t see many oval shaped diamonds and hers is so pretty. Hope you both have a nice flight today back to Connecticut! Enjoy those fall trees!
Brittnie and Tony wanted a fall looking engagement shoot. Well with all of the water we have had this year, we may not have fall leaves until November! I don’t think I ever remember Utah looking so green at this time of the year still 😀 So instead of fall leaves, we have tons of sunflower like weeds everywhere, which are so bright and happy in pictures. Brittnie’s family also used to own the Coke company in Ogden, and they drink Diet Coke like water at their house, so we also did some Coke inspired pictures as well. The clouds were just perfect and I these pictures just make me happy!
