Tayler + Josh {wedding}

Josh and Tayler were married at the Logan Temple. We had already done a preshoot at the temple so we just had to get a few shots of the couple and family pictures at the temple. It made for a stress free morning for sure. I stopped first at the Riter Mansion to get a few shots of all the details that Michelle from Utah Events by Design was putting together for their afternoon reception. Tayler wanted touches of plaid and mailboxes and letters (she had waited for Josh on his mission and there were many letters in between!). They also chose to get married on such a great day-my birthday! I really had a great time with them and their family and they made me feel like part of their family. I loved that Tayler and Josh chose to have a brunch reception and were able to leave a four o’clock to enjoy the rest of their day together. The food was excellent, the decor made me happy and the family was hilarious! Her siblings lip synced to Queen’s Somebody to Love and had the whole room laughing-including me. It was great! They all were dancing and Tayler’s cute grandpa’s were dancing with all their granddaughters. There was a lot of love in the room and you could actually see it in everything in this wedding.

Lauren + Jake {wedding}

Lauren and Jake were the winners of my Deserving Bride Contest I did in January. I am so glad they won! They are such an amazing couple and I love hanging out with them and their family. Jake and Lauren had their reception at This is the Place Park. I loved the pink house that matched Lauren’s colors perfectly that was close by. We did the family shots there and I’m glad they walked down the hill for them for me!! They had a great turnout at their reception and their family knows how to throw a party. Her uncle is has tons of sound equipment, lights, and even brought a fog machine! It was awesome. There was one song that they and their friends were dancing to and I thought it was saying something else. I mentioned it to Lauren and Jake and they started laughing at me and said it was something different…way different! Well I feel old now-thanks kids ;D hehe I’m just glad I could make you laugh!

Brittany + Jeff {formals}

Man yesterday was SUPER windy! My assistant almost blew away holding the reflector! We started on Antelope Island and decided to leave before sunset because the wind was so bad. At least it blew away the bugs 😀 Brittany and Jeff just laughed about getting blown away in a hurricane. Hannah Goodrich did her hair and make up and Jeff couldn’t stop saying how much he loved Brittany’s hair. It was so cute 😀 We started with a first look and I told Jeff to close his eyes until I told him to open them. He squeezed his eyes so tight it was like watching a little kid when you are about to give them a surprise.

Kayla + Austin {engagements}

This was the second day in a row I shot with rain chasing me! Everytime we would stop to take pictures, the rain would start a few minutes later. We had quite the entourage with us-Kayla’s mom, dad, grandma, Austin’s mom and my assistant/former bride/friend of Kayla’s Brittnie 😀 We had a great time literally running from place to place. We brought along my pink couch and they brought some cute bikes. The one that Austin was riding was really hard to ride and try to hold Kayla’s hand, but it was really funny to watch! We ended on a dock (not going to say how we got on there…wait there is a picture I think ;D hehe and they danced in the rain. Good times for sure! Thanks everyone for the adventure!!

McCall + Mike {wedding}

What a day this was! I started the bad luck by dropping my lens right before family pictures and totally breaking it. Then McCall’s brother {her brothers are acrobats-just look at the picts!} got a bloody nose doing a hand stand, then one of their guests fell down the stairs of the temple. Luckily once family picts were over it was good luck from then on out! Her family is hilarious and kept cracking up Ryan and I (Ryan Hinman was their videographer).
