Amanda {bridals}

Amanda was married this weekend, so here are her bridals we took a while ago! On the way up Amanda almost ran out of gas and we just made it to the gas station-we were all so glad we did! She looked so beautiful and loved her dress. Her beautiful fall bouquet was made by La Fleur. Her mom came up all the way from Delta to come with us. Working on her beautiful wedding pictures now from the Stein Ericksen Lodge at Deer Valley. It was a fun one!!

Katelin + Zach {wedding}

Katelin and Zach were married at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. The room they were married in overlooked the temple grounds and it had such pretty natural light. Katelin wanted an old Hollywood feel, but with a modern flare for her wedding. Her make-up was done by the very talented Hannah Goodrich. We went outside for some pictures and it was the first wedding of this summer where it really, really felt like summer-even at five o’clock! It was so hot!! I ended up taking off my shoes, and so did Katelin and we just were barefoot in the grass. At the reception they had custom postcards that they got from Zazzle.com that the guests wrote messages to them on. They were so cute and went perfectly with their custom postcard themed invitations I designed for them. More vendors later!

Katelin {bridals}

Katelin got married this weekend, so I can post her bridals! We went to the beautiful La Caille where the grounds were gorgeous as always! Her mom, aunt and cousin came with us to help out. Katelin has such a classic beauty to her, it’s like she is out of a 1930’s glamor magazine. I love her hot pink shoes with the bling on the heels. They weren’t made for walkin’, as Katelin found out on the brick road, but they sure are pretty!

Cole {1 year}

I have never had a baby so sad when we gave them cake! Cole was super tired for these pictures and wanted NOTHING to do with me, the cake, the cool firetruck….BUT we still got some cute ones luckily! His mom and I were just laughing because that was just about all we could do. When we gave him the cake at the end we thought for sure that would make him happy….but he would scream at us when we made a sound. Seriously, really funny now-not so much at them time. But it’s like I always say to my clients, “It’s a memory” and it is for sure 😀

Roaring 20’s Inspired Fashion Shoot

This shoot was inspired by this London Double Decker Bus. It came over to the states from England on the last voyage ever of the Queen Mary. When I saw it, I knew I had to do a shoot with it! I have always loved the glamorous style of the 20’s and wanted to do a shoot that showcased that era, but in a modern way. So I partnered with a local dress company, Danielle’s Bridal, and we got two amazing models, Heather and Chloe, and my favorite make-up/hair artist, Hannah and two days later we pulled together this shoot. I was even able to get a blue 1937 Buick Special – series 40, suicide doors: This car is unique in many ways, one of the early designs of the legend Harley Earl, gangster style with the trunk back design. I loved the idea of having the color palette being red, white, blue and black. It seemed so classically American.

Professional Make-Up/Hair Artists-why you need them!

I hope that brides see this and see the importance of hiring a professional make-up/hair artist as well as a professional photographer. A professional stylist can create different looks for you, depending on the style you want. A professional photographer can do the same and has the experience and knowledge of their equipment, lighting and posing. The really fun part of the second shoot was that the first model Heather, wasn’t even recognized by her family and friends when she was done up 20’s style!! It is your wedding day, so ROCK it and look AMAZING!!!

These are the same models, Heather Meacham & Chloe Allsop and these pictures were taken less than a week apart. Hannah Rhees Goodrich was the make-up/hair artist.
