{"id":1119,"date":"2011-04-21T13:26:09","date_gmt":"2011-04-21T20:26:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/magnifiquephotography.com\/blog\/?p=1119"},"modified":"2011-04-21T13:26:09","modified_gmt":"2011-04-21T20:26:09","slug":"advice-for-scheduling-your-temple-wedding-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/terracooper.com\/?p=1119","title":{"rendered":"Advice for scheduling your temple wedding day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The great thing about weddings today is that there is no right or wrong way to do things.\u00a0 The possibilities are endless, the creativity is outstanding, and everyday we see something new in the industry.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 That means it is your choice to do your wedding like you want to!\u00a0 Here are some ideas on how to schedule a temple wedding day that is not your traditional schedule along with <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\">pros<\/span> <\/span>and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">cons<\/span> with each.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Traditional Temple Wedding Day Schedule:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>*Temple Wedding is in the morning, followed by a luncheon for close family &amp; friends, then after that a reception for your close 500-1000 friends and family \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Pro: You get it all done in one day<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> Con: You have to get it all done in one day \ud83d\ude00<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Split Day Wedding Celebrations:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Many brides are opting for splitting the wedding activities so they don&#8217;t get overwhelmed.\u00a0 Here are some ways they are doing it.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>*Rehearsal dinner the night before for close family and friends, temple wedding in the morning, followed by a reception for your close 500-1000 friends and family \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Pro: The dinner the night before is less stress for all involved<\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Con: people that may be traveling may not be able to do a two day event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>*Reception the night before (or the night after) for your close 500-1000 friends and family :D, temple wedding in the morning, followed by a luncheon for close family and friends.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Pro: It spaces out the celebrations so you can enjoy them more and have less stress on your wedding day. <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Con: people that may be traveling may not be able to do a two day event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Skipping on of the Wedding Day Celebrations:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Some couples are opting out of a reception or luncheon to either save money or keep it for themselves, maybe for their honeymoon, or to put money down on a house. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>*Skip the Luncheon and\/or Reception, save the money<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Pro: You will have some money to start your marriage <\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Con: you won&#8217;t get to celebrate with many of your friends\/family.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>*Skip the Luncheon-put the money you would have spent on the Luncheon towards your reception for better food, more decorations, a wedding album, etc.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Pro: Less stress on your wedding day with less activities and more money to spend it on things you want for your reception. <\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Con: You will miss out on a more intimate celebration with close family and friends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>*Skip the Luncheon-put the money towards a nice sit down dinner for close family and friends and a beautiful location.\u00a0 Make your wedding about you and the people who made you who you are (not inviting everyone you have ever met, just people that really have meant a great deal to you as a couple).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Pro: You get to have a more intimate celebration with close family and friends and show them how much you really care about them <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Con:\u00a0 You don&#8217;t get to invite everyone you&#8217;ve ever met \ud83d\ude00<\/span><br \/>\nJust remember that this is YOUR wedding day.\u00a0 You don&#8217;t want to look back at it with regrets or hold grudges against people who had you do it their way.\u00a0 Also remember that your parents have been looking forward to this day for their whole lives and try to involve them in your planning remembering that this day is also a celebration for them.
