OK here is the second part of the tour of Harry Potter Studios.   Enjoy!!!














































































This was one of my favorite displays.  I love graphic design so everything in these cases was so much fun to look at!




I loved that they had all of the school books from Harry Potter.  The love is in the details for sure!




I love looking at the Daily Prophet layouts.  There is detail in every little corner of these!




I always wondered how many envelopes they addressed for the movie scene.  It didn’t say, but they are all handwritten!






I love that they have the letter from Lily to Sirius.

The invitation for the Yule Ball was fantastic.  Look at that laser cut design with the wording!!


Wish they had Pumpkin Juice to drink rather than the Butterbeer… ;D






The Butterbeer here is made with marmite.  If you don’t know what marmite is, here is a description: Marmite is made from yeast extract, a by-product of beer brewing. Other similar products include the Australian Vegemite, which is saltier in taste, the Swiss Cenovis and the German Vitam-R.  The British version of the product is a sticky, dark brown food paste with a distinctive, powerful flavour, which is extremely salty. This distinctive taste is reflected in the British company’s marketing slogan: “Love it or hate it.” The product’s name has entered British English as a simile for something that is an acquired taste or tends to polarise opinions.
They are not kidding.  The cream was great…the butterbeer was not-at least to me.

This section was so fascinating to me for sure.  I couldn’t believe how much of the artistry isn’t CG.  They had some VERY talented hair/make up artists and animatronic designers in these movies.












Each hair is individually placed and made from goat hair.






There were so many animatronic characters in the movies.  Even many scenes with Hagrid are actually animatronic!


The face and eyes moved and it looked so real it was creepy!

Even Voldemort’s last piece of his soul was an animatronic.














Getting to walk through Diagon Alley and see all the shops was pretty awesome.  Everything inside the shops is all made of foam, cardboard and other light materials to keep the weight done.  It all looked so realistic!
























There were TONS of paintings that the used for inspiration for the movies.  These were some of my favorites.






















Then you get to see the actual model they used to film all of the Hogwarts castle scenes.  They filmed it, added CG effects, layered in people/characters, etc all to make a single scene.  It was really eye opening to see all the layers that go into one little scene.
